HR Manager – Andover.

Salary: £40,000.00 p.a.

Hours: 37.5 per week.

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to lead and shape people services within a values-driven mental health charity.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Resources and working with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the HR function.

As a hands-on HR professional, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have experience of working within a similar HR role, with a willingness to visit our additional Wellbeing Centres all within Hampshire.

To succeed in this role, you will have strong knowledge of UK employment law, will also support across recruitment, organisational change, payroll processes, workforce planning and be the first point of contact for managers for all employee relation issues.

You’ll play a key role in developing our people strategy, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and helping us create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

To succeed in this role, you will be required to use your own initiative and leadership skills and demonstratable solid case management experience along with up-to-date HR knowledge.

If you have an accomplished background in Human Resources, can build and maintain excellent working relationships, are able to handle a busy working week where no two days are the same and feel you have the right skills and qualities we would love to hear from you.

Safe Haven Practitioner – FTC for 12 months

£13.21 per hour PLUS £3.48 per hour Shift Allowance

Andover Mind is one of the leading mental health providers in Hampshire. Our Safe Haven service supports those in mental health crisis in Basingstoke and mid Hampshire. The service is covered 7 evenings a week from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, 365 days a year (including bank holidays) on a rolling 4 week rota, and is based at our Wellbeing facility in Basingstoke.

The role of Safe Haven Practitioner is crucial to the success of our Safe Haven team. This is an opportunity to “give something back” in a positive way by using your own knowledge and experience of living with, and recovering from, mental illness.

Using your own personal experience in the appropriate way, you will help individuals manage their own illness, supporting, encouraging and inspiring them by offering hope within our safe space. You will help people to focus on achievable goals using a strengths based approach whilst remaining calm and professional in any stressful or challenging situation.

Neurodivergent Wellbeing Advisor – Andover area

£10,959.00 p.a based on 15 hours per week.

As one of Hampshire’s leading Mental Health Charities, Andover Mind is entering an exciting phase of growth to meet the needs of our communities around mental health and wellbeing support.

ROLE PURPOSE

This role is designed specifically for someone with lived experience of Autism, ADHD, or both. As a Neurodiversity Wellbeing Advisor, you will use your personal understanding of neurodivergence to support, empower and connect adults who may or may not have a formal diagnosis.

You will provide 1:1 wellbeing support, facilitate community groups, and help people build confidence, skills, and strategies to improve their quality of life. Your lived experience, insight and empathy will be central to how the service is shaped and delivered.

You will create safe, inclusive, non‑judgemental spaces where neurodivergent adults feel heard, understood, and supported—through a neuro‑affirming approach that celebrates strengths and identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Support

– Provide strengths‑based 1:1 support to autistic and/or ADHD adults.

– Use your lived experience to offer relatable insight, emotional understanding and practical strategies.

– Support individuals to develop coping skills, self‑advocacy, and tools to enhance daily wellbeing.

Group Facilitation & Community Work

– Plan and lead welcoming, neuro‑affirming group sessions.

– Create inclusive spaces for connection and shared experience.

– Facilitate co‑production activities to help evolve the hub.

Collaboration & Service Delivery

– Work with internal teams to ensure smooth referral pathways.

– Build relationships with external partners and community stakeholders.

– Participate in awareness events.

Quality, Safety & Development

– Maintain knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR and neuro‑affirming practice.

– Gather feedback and case examples.

– Contribute to service planning and continuous improvement.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Qualifications

– Strong evidence of previous training or learning (formal or informal) which relates to supporting neurodivergent people.

– Ability to demonstrate skills required through lived and/or work experience.

Essential Experience

– Lived experience of Autism, ADHD, or both.

– Experience facilitating groups or community‑based activity.

– Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Safe Haven Team Leader.

10 hours per week – 2 x 5 hour shifts.

Lived Experience Practitioner – Farnborough and Aldershot areas.

As an integral and highly valued member of our MHICS (Mental Health Integrated Community Service) team, this is an opportunity to “give something back” in a positive way by using your own knowledge and experience of living with, and recovering from, mental illness or of caring for somebody who has mental health problems.

An essential element will be using your own personal experience in the appropriate way to provide formalised peer support and practical assistance to people using the service in order for them to regain control over their lives and their own unique recovery journey and to manage their own illness, supporting, encouraging and inspiring them.

You will help people to focus on achievable goals using a strengths based approach whilst remaining calm and professional in any stressful or challenging situation. In particular, the Lived Experience Practitioner will support the smooth transition of people using the service to other Mental Health services, by helping them to complete recovery and crisis plans for example.

Suitable for someone who is kind, caring and supportive with good interpersonal and communication skills and who is keen to provide the highest quality experience for people using GPiMHS / MHICS.

Job Overview
To work with service users referred from the Primary Care Mental Health Service both individually and in groups, using your own lived experience to provide person-centred support.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a supportive and respectful relationships with service users referred from the Primary Care Mental Health Services team.
  • Develop the ability to share your personal story of recovery in a professional manner.
  • Work with service users on a one-to-one basis to learn self-help strategies, with support from the wider team.

Requirements

  • Experience of living with, and recovered from, your own mental illness.
  • Experience in accessing local support services, organisations and groups.
  • Skills and confidence to support Service Users to engage with support services, organisations and groups including making and receiving referrals.
  • An understanding of the implications of mental ill-health.
  • Able to travel to GP Surgeries around the Andover area.
