Providing support across Hampshire

We may be called “Andover Mind”,  but we actually provide services right across Hampshire, supporting people with mental ill health as well as adult carers, who care for an adult, and people living with dementia and mild cognitive impairment.

One in four of us will experience mental health problems at some time and it’s estimated there are around 13 million unpaid carers in the UK and more than 850,000 people living with dementia. These are  tough things to face alone so you’ll want experienced and compassionate people in your corner. That’s where we come in…

How can we help?

Young people need our help!

Recent research found that as many as 1 in 6 young people are experiencing a mental health problem and this figure is expected to rise even further.

Young people have been badly affected by the pandemic with disruption to their education, finances and employment and a growing uncertainty over their future. All this means there is an increasing demand on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, making it difficult for young people to access the help they need.

In response to this, we are launching a new service, Be You, supporting young people between the ages of 11-17 in Andover and surrounding villages.

Be You will help young people build resilience and coping skills and learn how to maintain their well-being as we continue to emerge from the pandemic.

We have already launched our Music Therapy Group as part of the Young Person’s service and will be adding more support over the coming months.
