Our wellbeing and PCN services
How we can help?
Our wellbeing centres provide a relaxed and friendly base, where we offer help to all who need it by delivering a range of services to support people with mental health problems. This could range from aiding people in their recovery from a serious mental health issue to providing advice, services and information to those wishing to keep themselves mentally well and prevent the onset of a mental health condition.
Who are our services for?

People over the age of 18 who are experiencing problems with mental ill-health can use the service. You don’t have to have a diagnosed mental health condition. It’s for anyone who may be experiencing things like depression or anxiety, as well as more severe conditions such as bi-polar disorder or psychosis. We see patients with learning disability or autism if they also have a secondary mental health issue such as depression or anxiety. However, we don’t see dementia patients.
What is the primary care network service (PCN)?
We run a number of primary care services in different parts of Hampshire. The services run from GP surgeries and community-based settings in Andover and Basingstoke but our Hart and Rushmore PCN services are run through the Mental Health Integrated Community Services. To access any of these services you will need to contact your GP.
The PCN provides you with an alternative to seeing your own GP, who may not be able to offer you the time you need to discuss your mental health. We provide half hour appointments to assess your mental health, give advice and signpost or refer on to other organisations and services.
What does the PCN part of the service offer?
The PCN gives people the time and opportunity to discuss in more detail their mental or emotional health. We will listen to your concerns, take a history and discuss how you would like to move forward. We can refer you to the Andover Mind wellbeing service.
Wellbeing courses
The support offered by our wellbeing centres is a combination of courses focused on teaching skills to develop mental wellbeing and resilience, delivered by our small and dedicated teams who work across service areas. Groups such as peer support, social and activity groups are also offered within the centres and community settings.
What courses do we offer and how can I access them?

- Anxiety management
- Managing emotions (decider skills)
- Managing low mood
- Self esteem
Groups and courses are based on community need and feedback from service users is fundamental.
To access these courses you will need to complete a self referral through our website, have had a professional referral or already be in service with us.
Using the recovery model, we strive to support you to develop positive relationships, become less socially isolated, gain (and retain) paid employment, live in settled accommodation and make a positive contribution to the communities you live in. We encourage an open dialogue with you and our wellbeing service is goal-focused and aims to work collaboratively with you. We will have a 3 month, then a 6 month review with you and maintain a positive structure with your recovery plan.
How are the wellbeing and PCN services working together?
Some assessments will identify a need for 1-2-1 support. Skills-based support is provided by the wellbeing advisors based with the PCNs. Wellbeing advisors will be in contact with the PCN to ensure Service users from the wellbeing centres will be offered the appropriate level of care and support.
