Meet Archie, my 10 year old Pomeranian.

10 years ago I was at the lowest point of my life, diagnosed with depression, anxiety and OCD, also experiencing a period of psychosis. I was so lonely and I needed something to get me out of the deep hole I was in, I couldn’t see a way out. Then Archie came along.

This period of my life was dreadful but Archie came into my life just when I needed him. A tiny ball of fluff, no bigger than a guinea pig, who couldn’t bark, only squeak was exactly what I needed. His support, his little face and the way he knew exactly how I was feeling, supported me in just the way I needed; no judgement, just comfort. Every time I looked at his little face, life didn’t seem so suffocating – how could it with something this adorable in it?!

Throughout the last decade, Archie has been there through my milestones; graduating university, getting my first job, moving out – he’s been right by my side. He’s so intuitive and knows if I’m having a bad day. If I’m going through a period of depression or having one of my “bad anxiety” days, he knows and he stays with me and it’s exactly what I need. I genuinely believe Archie saved my life 10 years ago and that is something I will always be grateful for. Dogs really are magic ✨🧸
