Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. This annual event is a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

Run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, in partnership with the Co-op and with support from Time To Change Wales, See Me and Change Your Mind / Inspire, this year Time to Talk Day will take place 2 February 2023.

We know the more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t aways easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives.

Make space in your day for a conversation about mental health this Time to Talk Day.

Why is Time to Talk Day so important?

There are so many reasons why Time to Talk Day is vital. Here are just a few:

  • Every year, one in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem
  • Talking helps to create supportive communities which can empower us to seek help when we need it
  • By opening up the conversation about mental health, we can support both ourselves and others

Time to Talk Day events in Andover and Basingstoke…

We’re partnering with Valley Leisure, Andover Health Hub, Basingstoke Health Hub to deliver a number of free events across our region for Time to Talk Day, design to get people talking about mental health. These events are open to all, there’s no need to book, just come along and say hello.

We want it to be as easy as possible for everyone to get the conversation going. If you’re not sure where to start, there are loads of free resources to download on the Mind website. There’s no right or wrong way to talk about mental health, but these tips from Mind can help make sure you’re approaching the conversation helpfully.
