As a Dementia Advisor you will be part of our county wide Carer Support and Dementia Advisor service. You will be delivering advice, information, support and signposting to people with dementia and their carers, with the aim of helping people to live long, healthy and happy lives, with the maximum possible independence. If you have a strong background in Adult Health and Care, with a knowledge of dementia or are from a similar background and feel you have the right skills and qualities to connect with others we would love to hear from you.

Our Well-being centre in Basingstoke provides a range of services to support individuals with mental health problems. In addition to supporting people in their recovery from serious mental health problems, we also provide advice and information services to help prevent the onset of mental health conditions. The services we provide are personalised, and individuals are supported to develop their own interests in the community.
As Senior Well-being Practitioner you will support the Well-being Centre Manager in the day to day running of our wellbeing services in Basingstoke.
You will also support your service users in their recovery through low and high-intensity support structures in conjunction with the recovery star plan and care plans, by providing 1 to 1 and group support.
The need for a Safe Haven to cover the Andover and Basingstoke area has been identified and working with our NHS Partners, we will be launching this exciting new venture in August 2021.
Our Safe Haven service supports those in mental health crisis in Basingstoke and mid Hampshire.
This service will be covered 7 evenings a week from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, 365 days a year. It will initially be based at our current well-being facility in Basingstoke until an alternative permanent facility in Basingstoke is found.
We are therefore looking to recruit amazing, committed professional staff to ensure our new service runs efficiently and maintains the level of care and support currently being provided by Andover Mind. The role of Safe Haven Practitioner is therefore pivotal, working as part of the Safe Haven team alongside other members of staff.
Using your knowledge of working within the mental health sector, previous mental health experience and understanding of the implications of individuals experiencing a crisis, you will help people to focus on achievable goals using a strengths based approach whilst remaining calm and professional in any stressful or challenging situation.
