Our much-loved Ugly Duckling project has been running since 2010 and supports people with mental ill-health and dementia. We encourage and facilitate sustainability in the local community by recycling and upcycling donated furniture and making new things from waste wood.

We sell the products we make and all funds go to keep the project running.

We have a workshop on the Portway Industrial Estate and, in October, we were able to secure a 3 month lease on a pop-up shop in the Chantry Centre in Andover. We have now extended the lease on the shop to the end of March and are grateful to Test Valley Borough Council and The Chantry Centre management for their support.

The shop has provided us with an opportunity to showcase the work of the project and sales, donations and volunteer enquiries have been great so far.

We are grateful to our loyal band of talented volunteers as we wouldn’t be able to operate without them. We are always looking for new volunteers to help at the workshop or in the pop-up shop or to provide admin support - contact emma.curran@andovermind.org.uk

If you are a professional and would like to refer a client to the project, contact Ali - uglyduckling@andovermind.org.uk
