In 2020, 1 in 6 young people had a mental health problem. Our new group aims to tackle this by giving young people who may be suffering from a mental health problem a safe space to express themselves through music.

Our Young Person’s Music Therapy launched at the beginning of September and runs out of our Andover Well-being Centre (opposite the police station). The sessions are for those aged 11-17 and take place every other Friday between 6pm-7pm.

We are now looking ahead to our next session on Friday 15th October following two really positive opening sessions. We have received great feedback from parents whose children have attended, with one parent saying:

“Joe was positive after the session, which given how anxious he was about going in, is very encouraging. Thank you for helping to calm him and encourage him to try out the group. I’m hoping he’ll want to go to the next session without any coaxing. It could be just the thing to build up his confidence a little.”
