free confidential support for young people

about Us

Andover Youth Counselling is a new, free service for young people aged 13 to 23 who live in and around Andover. We are members of Youth Access and are committed to safeguarding young people. Our fully trained and qualified counsellors receive professional supervision in line with BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

what do we offer?

Counselling gives you a friendly space where you can talk about anything that is worrying you. This might be relationships, families, drugs, pregnancy, sexuality, stress, bullying, feeling low, depression or anything else. Whatever you want to talk about, we are here to listen and help you make sense of your problems. We are trained to listen and will help you explore your feelings, situations or difficulties. Counselling happens in a private and confidential space where you can meet the counsellor each week for a set amount of time. Sessions last for up to fifty minutes.

why it may help?

Counselling offers you the chance to talk through your worries and problems, helps you understand what is happening and supports you to find ways to change how you feel. Counselling often helps you to get to know yourself better and find your own strengths and resources. Many people find that talking helps them see their problems differently so they can change in ways they want to.

where?

We are working with local schools and other community venues but sessions can be held where you feel comfortable.
