Andover Mind - Services
Andover Mind strives to provide a range of services to fulfil the need of people, from the local community and surrounding villages, who experience mental ill-health.
Our well trained staff are able to provide help in our Resource Centre to those who need individual support, or would like to take part in group activities.
Many of our service users work on a one to one basis, away from the Resource Centre with one of our Community Support Team.
For those over 65 years of age we provide a specialist Older Persons Service, which takes place both at our Resource Centre and out in the wider community.
Whilst for those experiencing dementia or early signs of Alzheimer’s, our “Leckford Group”, based away from the Resource Centre, provides social interaction in a group setting as well as much needed respite for carers.
Our “fit4Life” project is aimed at supporting local people towards a life of physical and mental well-being.
It is one of 28 projects countrywide, forming part of the Time to Change campaign, working to highlight how people with mental health problems are affected by stigma and discrimination.
The Vocational Advice Service can offer support to those trying to manage their mental health problems as part of their current working environment and to those trying to return to work having experienced or still experiencing mental ill-health.
The Service can also provide employers with in-house training for their managers and staff. This can be based around mental health awareness or can be tailored to the employers’ needs.
The Counselling Service is open to those who need individual support from one of our team of experienced counsellors. This service is always confidential. You do not have to be a service user of Andover Mind to access this service. The cost of this service is based on each individual’s financial situation.
