Andover starts its own Repair Café

every 3rd Saturday of the month at Andover Mind Well-being Centre.

first repair café, a great success

Andover’s first Repair Café was launched on Saturday 22nd July at Andover Mind’s well-being centre and it got off to a busy start. At the Repair Café volunteers work with people who bring  items to repair, to share their knowledge and help them learn new skills and gain confidence in repairing their own things. The volunteer fixers were able to repair most of the things the public brought in on the morning including a vacuum cleaner, a lamp, a laptop, a radio and 2 clocks.  Lisa Langman said “Coffee, cake and socialising are also part of the Repair Café ethos and there was a great atmosphere at the launch with many people making new connections. ”

what is a Repair Café?

A pop up social event where you can repair your things with the help of our friendly volunteers and enjoy a cuppa, cake and natter. We can help you fix small electricals, bikes, toys, small furniture, clothes and much more. Save yourself some money and help the environment by fixing rather than replacing. Everyone is welcome.
