Andover Mind Community Support Services
Based in our Resource Centre at Arcade House, Westbrook Close in Andover (opposite Andover Police Station), we provide Bridge Building and Outreach support.
This outreach and Bridge Building support is provided by a experienced team of Support, Time and Recovery workers. The support is in conjunction with the service users Care Plan and their Individual Needs; the support offered is primarily based within a Community setting.
Support we offer
We currently provide support in the following areas, which can be on an individual basis out in the community, or as part of a therapeutic group based in our Resource Centre
- Daily living skills
- Life skills
- Meaningful occupation
- Social network support
- Physical health guidance
- Accommodation – To help promote independent living
- Finances
- Cultural, Religious and Diverse needs
Service times
Opening Times:
9.30pm - 4.30pm
Monday to Friday
10- 4pm Sundays
The centre is staffed from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
Charges
There is no charge for this service
Transport
Can be provided for those living in the surrounding areas of Andover on a Tuesday and Thursday
Eligibility
For those aged 18 – 65 years old who have Mental Health problems, and live with the Andover area. The service is not open to those whose primary problem is alcohol or drug related.
How to access our service
Through referral via the specialist mental health services for example
- Andover CMHT
- Assertive Outreach Team
- Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team
- Early Intervention of Psychosis Team
We currently do not accept self referrals or direct via local GP
Further Information
Every 6 weeks we hold a Community Meeting to gain feedback from service users and update on current changes within our services. The community meeting is facilitated by the Mid Hants and Eastleigh Service User Involvement Project.
